No sound from JVC TH-M303 Home Theatre System

Symptom: The TV has pictures, the light on the subwoofer stays on, but no sound from any speaker.

No sound problem could be caused by many defective parts. In this case, it’s an open R2702. This open resistor fuse cuts off the power to AMP and causes no sound.

Remedy: replace R2702  (47OHM, 1/4W).

This resistor is located in the subwoofer. Remove the screws on the back and bottom of the subwoofer, slide out the AMP assembly a little, disconnect the woofer’s wires, and then you can take out the AMP assembly totally. The picture below shows the location of the resistor.

My JVC TH M303 has no sound from the subwoofer but all aother speakers work OK. Occasionaly the amp (sound) seems to reset itself when the cable from the subwoofer to the master unit is disturbed. Any suggestions?
