How to replace a broken LCD screen for Sony DCR-H26 camcorder
Do you have a cracked LCD on your Sony DCR-H26? Or the touch screen is not functioning any more? You need to replace the LCD screen.
Since we don’t need to open the whole camcorder in this case, just only several steps, you can replace it DIY.
Here is the new LCD screen.
Remove the battery. Swing the LCD and turn it to show the screw as on figure 1. Remove the screw, turn the LCD to the other way and remove another screw.
Remove two black screws shown on figure 2.
Gently open the LCD back cover, remove the screw shown on figure 4. Unlock the connectors and disconnect all the cables.
Take out the circuit board, and then you can see the LCD panel. Hold the LCD data cable and take the broken LCD out.
Carefully put the new LCD in and put on the circuit board. Put the screw back, connect all the cables back and secure them properly.
Close the LCD cover. We are done!

Thanks so much for showing pictures on how to remove the LCD screen for Sony DCR-H26 camcorder. Mine cracked and I did not know how to get it open. I now currently am struggling to find a replacement LCD screen. I tried Sony and they want $125 for a new one. Where did you get yours?
Thanks!
Justin

HI I cannot find the LCD screen for Sony DCR-H26 camcorder
on the site you give here http://www.darntoothysam.com/search.php?search_query=DCR-H26+sony&page=15 help
is there any other website where you can get a acx326dn-3
I did this on a Panasonic hdc-tm300k 3CMOS HD camera after ordering the new display from Panasonic. The screen is all funky colors now. A friend suggested there may be a POT to adjust the BIAS for the new display. Any ideas, suggestions?
