How to replace the battery lid on SONY Cyber-Shot DSC-T500 digital camera
The battery lid on Sony CyberShot T series is an easy-broken part.
The small lid comes with the battery housing; it’s not a separate part.
It is much easier to replace the battery lid than to replace the whole battery case though.
First we need to take off the battery lid from the new part. Use a needle to push out the tiny shaft and take the lid off.
Now turn to the camera. Take all screws off and take the front cabinet apart.
Watch out the claw there. You may open the front cover with some difficulties.
Remove these two screws.
Remove the metal pieces.
Use a knight to pry up the shaft and remove the broken lid.
This step may take you a little more time. When put the new lid on, you need to insert the spring into the tiny hole and insert the shaft through the spring. Be patient, maybe just a little more practice.
Put on the longer metal piece first.
then the small metal piece to cover the connector.
The rest will be easy, put the front cover and side covers on and tighten the screws.
