this worked like a charm and saved me plenty of $$$. make sure you buy an lcd screen on ebay that comes with a small screwdriver. also, a small thumb tack or similar helps a lot with removing the cables that plug in the lcd screen and backlight. there is a small hole in the cable that you can insert a tack or pin into and use that to pull out the cable or push it back in
