How to replace LCD screen for Panasonic DMC-FS3 digital camera
Compared with DMC-TZ1(How to change LCD screen for Panasonic DMC-TZ1), it’s easier to replace the LCD unit for DMC-FS3 .
First, unscrew 8 screws around the camera, and gently separate the back cover. Beware that the LCD unit comes with the back cover.
Unlock the connectors and disconnect the cables shown on figure 2. Totally take the back cover assembly apart.
Gently pry these two points by using a small flat screwdriver (shown on figure 3), lift up and take out the broken LCD unit.
Figure 4 shows you how to install a new LCD unit. Insert the tabs of the LCD into the grooves of the back cover.
Slightly press down the LCD to lock in place. Connect and secure the cables as shown on figure 2 and close the back cover assembly.
The part number for the LCD unit is VYK2J17.
Hi, my FS3 LCD is broken and I would like to replace it form the other camera. I find out that this kid of LCD is used in DMC-TZ4,LZ10,LS80 FS1,FS5,FX35,FX36, LZ8. Is it truth ? Can I buy any of this (with broken other parts and fine LCD)and replace it in FS3? What about backlight ?
